Ferncliff Presbyterian Camp and Conference Center was just
approved for a full time Energy Corps position. The person needs to be selected by 10/15 and would then
serve for 11 months starting in December.
Responsibilities: Manage garden/farm, institute energy efficiency and
green practices at Ferncliff, add weatherization for low income families to the
summer mission team program, assist with the construction and program
development for our Eco Center — straw bale, solar powered building that will
house 26 people for low carbon impact events and education, other
responsibilities as negotiated based on the corps member’s skills and passions.
Compensation:
$12,000, housing/utilities on site, insurance, and $5,000 educational
award via AmeriCorps.
